Shake the Fear. Make a Plan.
I watched the movie musical “Tick, Tick, Boom” this week. It’s a semi-autobiographical show about the life of Jonathan Larson (the guy who wrote Rent!). I highly recommend it!
The lyric of the closing song has been stuck in my head since:
Cages or wings?
Which do you prefer?
Ask the birds.
Fear or love, baby?
Don't say the answer
Actions speak louder than words.
Everywhere I look today, I see fear…
...COVID...politics...gun violence...protests...inflation...Taiwan…
...the list goes on and on.
Fear is a useful evolutionary tool. It kept our ancestors alive. It helps us avoid danger.
But, living in a state of constant fear is paralyzing. It immobilizes us and then we are stuck with a bunch of ideas and dreams.
A dream has to become and a plan, and a plan has to turn into action. Otherwise, we never do anything and we’re doomed to live in regret.
I see so many business owners and entrepreneurs crippled right now. Are you one of them?
Shake the fear by turning your dream into a plan. A major part of that plan has to involve determining the verbal identity of your brand:
What is your business?
What does your brand sound like?
What do you want the world to know about your product, service, or business?
I want to help you communicate your value to the world.
